hi all, ive played q3 since it came out, never played q1, :( wile back i played q1 on my friends machine and find a desire to play quake now. so i got a brand new q1 cd off ebay and have had all kinda problems, some with witch Shaggy has helped me with, TUVM. but ive never really got quake to run good or be abel to start a map from the consol and play a bot, like in q3 you can. very fue of the q3 consol commands work in q1, like cg_drawtimer or fps or com_maxfps, or r_displayrefresh, or hunkmegs, fue more i guess. so ive kept playing quake3, because i love the game so much, more than food, or sleep, or or , well, maybe not that much ! :d my post point is to seek help with getting my q1 to play as good as my q3, i use the all seeing eye, to launch, ive installed quakeworld, most of the maps i don't have, but i got a sub to fileplanet, think ill be needing it, smile. would, or could anyone be so very nice as to turn me on to all the quake tweaks and commands, you know, like how to make your game fly, like synchronizing your fps with your displayrefresh, or allocating the most possible memory to the game, maximizing your networking, i have some decent q3 skills, but i think q1 is faster, :) cfgs and autoexec.cfgs weapons bindings, ive looked on file planet and quakeworld for these things, but think these are things mostly players have, not urls my machine is good, its a amd 1.8 gig, 512 megs ddr ram, Adaptec ultra2 wide scsi card running two barracuda drives, one a 9 gig for operating system, windows xp pro, the other 40 gig, for games, both 75000 rpm. gforce3 64 meg video, sony Trinitron smc 10/100 Ethernet card, very fast cable connection, lynksys router. thanks all you quakers. hi to you shaggy, dident want to single you out for help, :P hi have a addiction, anyone seen a quake clinic ? help ! /// edd oh, and give me some good ips, smile. c yu there
