I've only played descent on a 386-40, but it wasn't bad at all. I'm
trying to imagine 4D Boxing (Had polygon graphics that weren't bad at
all) Frankly, I think that Polygon's are much smoother and realistic
looking than BitMapped graphics. A better, ancient example is Dragon
Strike. It's a dragon flight simulator that allowed switching between
polygon and bitmapped graphics. The bitmaps were chunky but the
polygon's were so smooth even though they were simple. The graceful
flying of the wings, the arch of the neck <sigh>
