Anyone who is lucky enough to watch some intro
sequences of MK2 can you please tell me what it looks like ?

Are there any individual character description
like MK ?

Thanks

Here's what I saw this afternoon. (what I can remember, at least)
There are 4 story screens, the first being a picture of Old Shang Tsung.
The text says something like "Shang Tsung used his power to corrupt the world,
but seven fighters would not allow him."
Next screen is my favorite: In the foreground is the cartoony picture of Liu
Kang, but in the background is a MK1 Liu Kang giving the MK1 Shang a flying
kick. You can see the background too, it's the Warrior Shrine. More text
about how the MK1 guys stopped Shang.
3rd screen is nicely drawn. Shang is kneeling before HIS master, Shao
Khan. The text is "Having been sentenced to execution for his failure and
the apparent death of Goro, Shang pleads with Shao Khan for another chance."
[notice *apparent* death of Goro; sorry if I've mangled any names]
4th screen: Picture is of Shao in full armor and battle gear.
Text is "Now Shang's plan is to lure the world's greatest fighters into his
trap." It's no longer a tournament.

They never explain how Shang became young again, nor why the new 4-armed
monster (sorry, I forget his name now) looks like the illegitimate son of
Goro and Garfield.

No character bios that I could see.

According to the MK comic book that Midway put out early last year,
Shang Tsung is kept young by killing his opponents and sucking their souls.
Shang has been around for a very long time, and his apparent age is directly
related to whether he's been sucking souls and appeasing his gods recently.

More details from the comic book while I'm at it:
500 years ago, Shang Tsung entered the tournament of the Sans. He was
undefeated for a long time, killing his opponents and sucking their souls.
Finally, he was defeated by a Shaolin monk named Kung Lao.
A few years later, an aged Shang brought an outworlder named Goro to
the tournament, and Goro defeated Kung Lao. Shang took over the tournament
for an endless supply of souls for his hunger.
The comic then shifts to the present day and describes how the seven each
came to the tournament: Liu Kang is a monk trying to uncorrupt the old
tournament, Raiden gets invited by Shang Tsung, Cage goes for the competition,
Kano is running from Sonya, Subzilla wants to assassinate Shang Tsung,
Scorpion wants revernge against SubZero.

So, Goro is naturally long-lived, and Shang stays young by stealing souls.
What I don't understand from this is how Kung Lao could exist at the same
time as the other modern characters.

maybe its his kid brother looking for revenge.
