MK Deadly Alliance - How Do Console Versions Differ From Each Other?

I am curious how the MK Deadly Alliance releases will differ from
each other.

If I understand correctly, on multi-platform games they develop
it for the least powerful system, in this case the PlayStation 2,
and then port it over to Xbox and GameCube, which should both be
able to handle everything that the PS2 does.

Is this the case with MK DA?

Or, will it be optimized for each console? For instance, the
Xbox has extra graphics capabilities, so will the Xbox version be
programmed to take advantage of them? Or, will they just max it
for the PS2 and have it play the same on the Xbox and GC?

Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
