I'm not using it as a basis, but as a backup.

That's SOME form, not the one I believe in and not in the way I interpret it.
Plus, I'm one of the only ones here who believes in some kind of God at all :)
So, try to open this can of worms and I'll just ignore them :)

I don't really go to church that often, but I more or less live my life by
the Scriptures.

No it doesn't. That's like saying that reading the newspaper will inform you
of *all* news going on.

No we don't. We think about aliens, too.

OK... meaning, we're not jungle animals or barnyard animals. We're the ones
at the top of the food chain. Even though we are mammals, and mammals are
animals, so we are animals *technically*, we're people and not animals.

Well if you really believe that, than you should be all for the legalization
of drugs. Why is it OK for cats to take catnip but not for humans to take
pot? Since we are both animals and don't deserve better treatment..?

The truth is, we're better, we're on top, and we have a responsibility to act
better, regardless of whether or not we do. Is that a run on sentence or
what? :)

Heh, I don't really go often. I'll explain the answer below.

Really? I think that by *accepting* it, they become hypcrites.

But anyway, there are pro-gay churches, and traditional churches. Traditional
churches are the ones recognize passages like "Thou shalt not lie with man as
one lies with a woman; it is an abomination." (Leviticus 18:22) Pro-gay
churches were developed primarily because of gay people. Gay people just
found out their lifestyle was immoral and against the word of God. They
couldn't give it up, and the idea of eternal damnation didn't really appeal to
them either - so what did they do? They took the easy way out. They chose to
belive in the same God, but with different rules that would excuse them of
their sin. They mock my religion, and if everyone did this there would be no
reason for Christians to obey the Ten Commandments.

Plus, there are two main branches of Christianity - Protestant and Catholic.
I'm a Catholic. When the Protestant branch was formed, they changed one of
the Commandments which is a really dumb idea. Catholics and Jews live by the
same Commandments however.

Yeah, that's right.

Well these people remember talking to God and asking to go back to Earth, and
God gave them the okay. And then they were back.

OK pal, you have crossed the line. All my views are my own, my belief in
Christ as the Saviour only enhances them.

Well that's not God or religion's fault - it's their's. There are a lot of
people today that can handle religion responsibly. Jesus didn't tell them to
fight, no one did, if they're going to do it, it's their own fault.

I think they should just sit back and let people choose their religion and not
fight about it. Such things like this cant be proven and it's not worth
fighting over.

I don't feel like I have to validate my belief for any reason. I have however
read and saw why you don't believe. I just think, I have my religion, you
don't want one, fine. I'm not going to try to convert you or anything, you
could at least show a little courtesy and not mock my faith.

I got a little confused when I was younger, and actually believed in Santa
Claus and not God. I sorted things out and figured it was the other way
around :)

BTW, isn't he called Father Christmas over there?
