WELCOME TO THE GUIDE
====================
Welcome to the second post of the guide! First looks are still coming
in. Keep in mind that these moves should all be treated as unconfirmed,
but most appear to be somewhat accurate. Many were taken from a test
version and may be changed in the official release. If you have any
additions send mail directly to me and I will include it in the next
guide. Moves and fatalities posted to rec.games.video.arcade and
alt.games.mk will be incorporated into this guide. Credit will be given
to those who contribute or post moves.
Unconfirmed moves will be marked with (*) in the future. Unconfirmed
meaning something that I have not done or witnessed first-hand.
Hopefully all the moves will be included in the next guide. Once all the
moves and fatalities are found, the guide will cease to be preliminary
and become the real thing.

NEW ADDITIONS TO THE GUIDE
==========================
o New format, which is a combination of the original guide and
the original MK FAQ by Lei Wang. Sections added are rumors, basic
definitions (for the fighting game impaired), and contents. Sections
which will be added in the future are specific combos, retaliation, and
strategy.
o More moves were added and corrected. New fatalities include
Jax, Liu Kang, and Cage. Four down, twenty to go.
=======================
RUMORS AND GAME SECRETS
=======================
o New MKII additions include seven new fighters, four or five
special moves for each character, and some new basic moves, along with
all new graphics and backgrounds. There are supposedly two fatalities
for each character, and none of the old fatalities were carried over.
Scorpion's new fatality is similar to the old one, but now burnt flesh
hangs on the skeleton which apparently explodes.
o Rumors coming out of the AMOA show suggest the possibility of
up to three hidden characters. Kano or Sonya could be one of these
hidden characters, as they are no longer selectable fighters. They were
said to be chained to the background on one of the test versions of MKII,
but were not seen in release versions.
o More Shang Tsung morphing moves were added. It appears he can
turn into any one of the twelve fighters. It is still unknown if he
transforms by doing the fatality movements of the person he wishes to
change to.
