Is this cheap? (Be honest, as I >will not do it any more if the consensus is against this move.) Is this move >really 'unblockable' as Liu 'crybaby' Kang was claiming? The reason I am crying 'Cheap!' is because if the move is executed with the proper speed, it is unblockable, and you can use it repeatedly to totally finish off the opponent. The only way out of the corner is if Raiden has the slightest hesitation, which gives the opponent a chance to step out of the corner and block, or to jump over the incoming dive. If the dive is done quick enough, there is no way out. This in *no way* compares to the double flying kick or to the fireball/flying kick. Yes the opponent is helpless for ONE hit, but ONLY ONE hit. Raiden's dive into the corner is comparable to Sonya's leg grab and the freeze/throw combo of SubZero. If they hit you with one of these moves ONCE, then with proper execution (which anyone who is fairly decent at the game should have) the opponent is defenseless for repeat attacks until dead. With Raiden, you don't even have to get backed into the corner (which I wasn't). If you are on the outer-third of the playing field, Raiden's dive will put you into the corner, in that oh so defenseless position. In other words, if you make *one* mistake against Raiden, you are dead (at the discretion of whoever is playing Raiden, of course) If you make a mistake against LK, then you get hit one extra time, and the fight goes on. One other thought. This isn't the first time this has happened, and whenever it does, it always seems to be in the third round of a match. If you are going to use an arguably cheap move, you don't use it in the third round of a match. His argument is "Well, I didn't kill you with it", no you didn't (this time...), but you took so much of my strength that all you had to was spit on me and I'd fall over dead. So, we leave this to the gods of the Internet to decide.... Ron (aka Lui 'crybaby' Kang)
