As requested from many TTD gamers, I've developed a program that can modify
the vehicle attributes. It can let trains run as fast as planes, let trucks
carry as many goods as trains can. How does that sound ??!!!If you're
interested, send me your email to <ninja...@hotmail.com>.Source code
(C++) is provided.:>NINJA_GAMER

Sounds good, but why bother changing a great game?

Yeah, I agree with you. Finding how to let vehicles run faster is fun, but
playing with the edited vehicles make the game no longer fun.

Before downloading the editor, ask yourself if you really want to have that
power.

If you insist, you may visit this site:

Sorry, but it's for the PC version.
It is impossible to change the playstation version. (without a cheat cart.)

How about editing the start date to, say 1900. And editing bridges to
any height. And underground stations. Etc. Can you do that?

ninja,

Sounds like you got TTD Alter working. For the record, my intent was never to
supply TTD Alter as a "cheat" as much as a way to breath some new life into a
game that, after 100's (1000's?) of hours was getting a little stale. I hope
you guys don't look at it that way. For example, I'm currently banging away on
RC Tycoon and know there are a pile of trainers out there. However, the game is
still fresh enough and I still have enough to learn about it that I would
rather do it on my own. Also, the trainers only allow me to bypass the hard
work (here's a $1,000,000, here's all the scenarios completed, etc.) I am more
interested in things that give me new possibilities to explore.

For example, if you do set your engines up for top speed how to you modify your
track layouts to accommodate? Since the output from your industries has likely
skyrocketed compared to the original how do you handle getting all of that
cargo from one location to another? My aim was to open possibilities, not close
them.

Thanks to all,

Dan

Thanks Dan. I'm glad you created it in the same spirit that I intend to use
it. I only came across TTD Alter the other day and down loaded it. Then RCT
came out, and I haven't thought much about TTD since then.

One thing that really excited me was the ability to change the speed limits
on bridges (sad, isn't it). I have often found it frustrating that after a
while there is really no point in building anything other that tubular steel
bridges on railway lines. Sometimes the situation really calls out for a
suspension bridge, but they are just too slow.

Also it seem incredible that a technology advanced enough to build MagLev's
can't suss out how to build a bridge that they can run a full speed over.

You also seem to have found a solution for the helicopter problem. I've
always suspected that the Dart was originally intended to be a helicopter,
but somehow the blades got left off.

Thanks again

Ant
