I know you're not a newbie, but I still have an urge to tell you to turn
back before darkness envelops you.

Ha! A Linux man. Better suggest a good newsreader to me. This is what I've tried to far:

- Thunderbird: extreme bloatware
- Sylpheed: I like it a lot, but unfortunately it doesn't have per-account format settings and since I use it
for email as well, I don't quite feel like replying my emails with "%f is a real pirate:"
- Pan: that's what I currently use, but the current version is a rewrite with a lot of functionality not yet
implemented, for instance it keeps nagging me when lines are longer than 80 characters. the old version
reminds me of RH Linux 6.1. I don't like to be reminded of RH Linux 6.1
- Gnus: way too much dependency bloat and it reminds of of RH Linux 6.1
- Knode: I'm allergic to Qt

Agent is not free. I don't want people to make money from me posting to Aglami!

Then get some nerd to program your very own newsreader.

I have never tried any of those (I use gnus and don't consider it
bloat as I use emacs anyway): knews, lusernet.app, xpn

Those are console: nn, slrn, trn, tin

More exotic stuff which is probably *very* silly for aglami: aub,
brag, ubh.

Of course you can find web applications like newsportal and google
groups.

I'm a bastard. I have absolutely no clue why people can ever think
otherwise. Yet they do. People think I'm a nice guy, and the fact is
that I'm a scheming, conniving bastard who doesn't care for any hurt
feelings or lost hours of work if it just results in what I consider
to be a better system.

But I don't know any nerds, unfortunately. I'm the nerdiest person I know and I'm no nerd at all!
