I don't see their absence as a real problem. I think it's much more likely LA will throw too much eye-candy at it and forget about the gameplay. A good storyline seems doable to me, as well as the tone and humor. I just fear they'll create a awesome sword-fighting engine and forget about the insults or good puzzles. They might even come up with a great game, sort of like open GTA world with pirates and ships. But that would just be GTA with pirates, not MI, even if you add the right amount of jokes. -- Danny.
