Patch 1.1 Didn't do anything

Alright, except for the opening screen saying "Adult content" or something
like that, and the version changing to 1.1, the patch did zip.
The hotkey for steroids showed up on the help screen, but it doesn't work.
Crosshairs don't work either.
Anyone else encounter this ?

I noticed that if the input device was set to keyboard, i.e. not mouse
or joystick, then I could not use the targeting cursor or place the
pipe bombs when crouching.
When I switched over to the mouse, everything worked great.
(Bug or feature?)
Hope this helps. I love the mouse targeting by the way.

Tested, works, need to get used to it. * Exit security cam with up or down. Tested. Works great. * Play with Doomed Space Marine. Tested, worked, also pretty cool. >Anyone else encounter this ? Well Just tried out the patch....NOT ! I'm running a 486dx266 with fast video with only 5megs of ram! V1.0 works fine with a min.15fps with occassional crashes. I am thankful the game runs at all considering... As insignificant this is, I know they say 8meg min. But the PATCH prevents anyone with less than 6.5 megs free to run at all now ! Geez ,this is one of the improvements? :-( Anyway this post is just to add to the list of 'improvements' to this patch.

I fixed these probs by rerunning setup which said it had detected an old (ie v1.0) duke3d.cfg and it was converting it - this adds in the configuration options for the new keys thus enabling them. Reloading the complete v1.1 will work as it will automatically run setup - this is what the patch should do really - or at least mention. Hope this helps. I had this problem as well until I actually paid attention during the
install program. I had run it through Win95, it warned me that it wouldn't
work under _Windows_ so I ignored it. Hey! No change, even still says "1.0"
Installed again... hmm.. maybe that warning means something...
Restarted to DOS prompt, install. Hey, what's that after the file copying
part? Something being unarchived. Maybe this'll work. Yup. Cool.

I use crosshairs, mouse targeting, it added digital mouse controls (the ability to make the mouse movement do the same thing as a keypress....such as using a medikit for example...it allows you to detonate bombs while looking in a monitor, it allows you to back out of a monitor without pusing escape or running thorough all the screens. (very useful in a dukematch). The steroids hotkey does work, and it lets you use the cheats if you have redefined your d or n key.
