I loved the old Duke games. Is there anything out there that's about the equivalent?

Try Blood and Blood 2 if it's the "build engine" games. Otherwise, Unreal and Steve Long's Duke conversion (Recommended!) Then there's Half Life and its offshoots... Blueshift, Counterstrike, Gunman Chronicles etc. Unreal 2, Serious Sam, (& 2), Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Soldier of fortune (and 2) and of course Half Life 2. I've never played the Quake series, so can't comment on those. Loads in between. And I mean loads! The list for 3d FPS is neverending. Cheers. Mark H. Michael, I'm an old time Duke 3D player forced to find a new multiplayer for our network games at work due to network protocol changes and windows XP. We tried Quake and Quake II for a year or so. They were ok, but we did not enjoy them as much as the duke death matches. The action seemed slower. We picked up a used copy of Unreal Tournament recently (8 bucks) and it is a pretty darn good game. Plenty of options and great multiplayer games. Give it a try. The machine requirements for the Unreal Tournament (circa 1999/2000) are fairly low. If you like it, you can move up to the more recent Unreal Tournament editions. I have tried Halo. I didn't trip my trigger. It seemed so slow and nonresponsive as compared to Duke and Unreal. However, there are those who love it and would have nothing else. That being said, maybe I need to give it another try. Good luck!
