Can't patch Duke3D

I just installed Duke3D ver 1.30 (not the Shareware version) & I tried to install the Plutonium pack, but got the error that I don't have enough memory. (a well know bug) I went to 3D Realms looking for answers & saw that I should patch Duke with PPack.Exe. When I ran the file it says that PPack.Exe will only patch version 1.4, not 1.30. Again I go back to 3D Realms looking for the 1.4 patch. No where could I find anything regarding a patch from 1.3 to 1.4. They had one for the shareware game, but not the full game. Can anyone shed some light on this dilemma?

The Plutonium Pack patch program is specifically made to update the 1.3d version of Duke Nukem. Are you sure you used the right patch? You can download the Plutonium Pack patch program from here: ftp://ftp.3drealms.com/patches/ppack15.exe Use THIS program to install the Plutonium Pack CD. Do *NOT* use the patch program that autoruns on the Plutonium Pack CD. Once you've got your copy of Duke patched, you might want to check out the Windows ports of Duke Nukem 3D, which you can download from here: http://jonof.edgenetwork.org/buildport/duke3d/ --Nut
