George and the rest of 3-D crew better get off their pompous arses and finish this thing before no one cares anymore. I know I have lost faith in them a looooogn time ago.

The game has supposedly been in the works for SIX YEARS! There are no screen shots or demos available. There is no release date beyond "When it's done." They particularly tell you not to pre-order the game. That's because the game does NOT EXIST and never has. It's a humongous joke.

Todd You be so right. That's why we call it 'vapor ware'. Like I alured to in a previous post, a friend of my wife was pregnant when the game was first mentioned, as coming 'soon'. The kid is in school now. The way things are going, he'll probably be the developer when 'its ready'. Steve

If there was actually a game being built at that time, it must have been totally f-ed up for them to chuck the whole thing and restart on a completely different engine. Or only claim to restart.

They probably got really behind and thought their game wouldn't sell
with an out of date engine. I don't think they have what it takes to
make a game that people will like these days anyway.

In both of these cases, the problem with the game development isn't bottlenecked around an engine, but rather around the gameplay design itself... or something. The only difference between those two games is that Daikatana is actually out.
