OK, this is weird, but this is the only way a friend and I have managed to get Duke to work with Kali. I stated earlier that everybody has had a problem, but it turns out I was wr... wr... wr... um... not quite right. 8-) Connect via Kali. When you run setup, do the following: setup /l1 /f4 That's a lower-case L for the first option and a numeral one. I don't know if the /f4 is needed by everyone. We tried it with the option gone and we had synch troubles. Never tried /f1 or /f2. Now the weird stuff. If you leave out the /l1, then you get all the standard startup screens and what happens is the player #2 never seems to find player #1. However, WITH the option, player #2 will see the start of the game, player #1 will seem to wedge. Press escape and player one is allowed to start a new game. After the second start, player #2 will will see player #1's name on the screen. After a third attempt to play deathmatch, voila! you will be playing. No clue why you have to try three times, but there you go. | Tim Robinson | Those who would give up essential | | timt...@ionet.net | liberty to purchase a little | | Excalibur BBS: 918-445-3091 | temporary safety, deserve neither | | http://www.ionet.net/~timtroyr | liberty nor safety.
