Well there's a clever boy!

Because a span of time is NOT a 'Millenium' until it has reached 1000
years.
> There i just did it
No you didn't!

Really?

Defining 'start' and 'end' periods is a major part of the discussion
underway in this thread. Do you think perhaps you're over simplifying
the situation with your basic comment?

Do you mean I should have stated:
(Just try to remember that when a Millenium was 'born' it HAS, by
definition,to be in the past!)
Nah, I dont think so. Do you?
>.The word born is what is known
>as a past particle and in no way exclusively implies past tense.
Who said it did?
>Where the hell do you come up with stuff? 1000 years is 1000 years, past

Yep! Applying that approach logically means that following the passage
of the first 1000 years, new 'Milleniums' are being born every second,
or every nano second or whatever is the minutest time span you can think
of.
But really we're looking for something a bit more meaningful. Savvy?
>I don`t know about you but i can enter a new 1000 year period whenever i
>feel like it. Just like i can enter a new hour or whatever.
( Yawn) See above.

>year period(or 20 minute period or whatever) at 11:58 PM. All i have to
>do is wait for my watch to start clocking the minute starting at 11:58
>and there you go. I will have just entered a new millenium.
>I can validly call it a millenium and i can validly call it new because
>it is not as old as the one i identified earlier on in the day and it
>is a lot newer than the one someone identified way back in 992 (that one
>ended years ago, what a party that was hey!!)
( Bigger yawn) Talk about repetetive!

Now this is where we came in. Please read earlier postings from a
multiude of folk to get yourself up to speed.
