I scanned through all the map text files on my WizardWorks CD, looking for
any 'do not distribute for profit' type keywords. I couldn't find any, so I
assume Wizardworks at least checked the accompanying text files before
burning the CD. Legally speaking, they didn't do anything BAD. (They just
didn't do anything good, in my opinion) I don't have a problem with
Wizardworks making money but there are no acknowledgements on the box or in
the manual to acknowledge the fact that these are 3rd-party maps, so it's
easy to get the impression that Wizardworks created the maps as well.
Most of the maps on the CD are real junk: untextured, unpopulated
Deathmatch maps. One of them is a 2 sector, untextured map which basically
demonstrates how to make an underwater sector. Not exactly 'action-packed.'
I believe I picked 10-12 maps as 'keepers' out of the entire 500 map CD. ;)
