My friend has a pentuim 120 and I have a amd dx4/100 with 16mb of ram. Im only running a 8250 uart on a generic Rockwell external modem. He has an internal US robo 28.8 modem. I have played numerous 3d games over the modem with him and have never had any problems. I know that usr 14.4's don't work well with rockwells. Especially if you have compression and error control enabled. You might want to try upgrading your modem to a USR ( though that could be one problem out of several possibilites)
