Yes, this has to be the dumbest request in mankind, as everyone with non-warez RoE will most likely have an original version of Doom III, you're all thinking. Just thinking maybe someone that wanted to pick up RoE *and* D3 would want to save a few bucks, by getting RoE only. :)

On 4/20/2005 2:19 PM f00ge brightened our day with: >Yes, this has to be the dumbest request in mankind, as everyone with >non-warez RoE will most likely have an original version of Doom III, you're >all thinking. > >Just thinking maybe someone that wanted to pick up RoE *and* D3 would want >to save a few bucks, by getting RoE only. :) > > > > I still can't make any sense out of this post. What's the point? There's workarounds to get RoE to work without a CD-Key, though you can't play online. The first night it was available I grabbed RoE off of bitorrent and played with a bypass exe. Then I went and bought the game and got a CD-Key with it. -- People of the United States! We are Unitarian Jihad! We can strike without warning. You're just as guilty of piracy as anyone else here, you retarded, sickening hypocrite. Everyone here has pirated at some point, and so have you. Whether you pirate MS products or id products makes no fucking difference - either makes you a 'little pirate boy' as well, you inbred moron. Now do us all a favour and F.O.A.D. like the little pirate boy you truly are. P.S. isn't it funny how some people online just attack you out of nothing, straight in your face - over virtually nothing. Stuff that people never ever would say to eachother face to face. Things like these is what get stupid, insecure people beaten to death over in the real world. I guess quite a few people, hiding behind the anonymous veil of the Internet, get off by being real tough guys, starting 'fights' etc online. Just goes to show you, how insecure they are.

You're the one coming in here and publicly admitting to being a little pirate boy. Not me. It isn't "virtually nothing". Assholes like you cost the rest of us money, dipshit. Get the fuck out of here and ask your bullshit pirate questions in a "warez" group. You're a little punk and a loser, and you always will be. -- If you're not on the edge, you're taking up too much space. Linux Registered User #327951

> Everyone here has pirated at some point, and so have you. No shithead, I have never pirated. All software, all licensed, even my shareware. I still have the original dark blue Zip manual from Phil Katz. Don't equate everyone elses morals with your sleazeball ways. > Whether you pirate MS products... Nope, all MS products here, all dating back to 1984, licensed. >... or id products makes no fucking difference... Nope, all (ALL, without exception) ID Software, even Catacombs, Dangerous Dave, Commander Keen, Wolfenstein, SOD, here, licensed. > P.S. isn't it funny how some people online just attack you out of nothing, > straight in your face - over virtually nothing. It is not virtually nothing. Progammers put the real effort, real sweat, long hours into making these products, eliminating the bugs (and I know how hard the effort was for individual members of ID Software - I have connections with the programmer games community - I am programmer), you use them under licensed conditions, you break those conditions, you owe them money. Simple as that. > Stuff that people never ever would say to each other face to face. I would. I would like to find out how you would feel if it your work being ripped off by others. ID Software, Raven produce quality games - do you begrudge paying them the dollars they ask? Their older games are reasonably cheap - a bargain. And we would talk face to face, I would see to that. Isn't it peculiar how people with dubious morals and low intelligence* always believe that everyone else is like that? The poster above, for example, accuses people of 'hiding behind the anonymous veil of the Internet' to hurl abuse, but has himself (I assume it's a 'he' for various obvious reasons) done just this on a number of occasions in this thread alone. I think the real insecurity lies, not with those who judge the pirates as offensive, but those who feel that their illegal acts are justified because 'everyone else does it'. And no, I have not 'pirated' myself. I'm not taking the moral highground, it's just that I respect those who have developed material and are trying to earn a living, despite some people feeling it's OK to steal from them. And the illicit use of software is theft, make no mistake. So, f00ge, do not assume that everyone has your mindset. If you do, you will be wrong. Not every time, but enough times to come across as an aggressive and unpleasant person, and I'm sure this isn't what you are. It's a good idea to think carefully before posting abusive and insulting messages. Also, there are no winners in flame wars. *Incidentally, I do not equate a high level of education with intelligence or living under a moral framework. Foamie Foamie
