1-3 Secret Exit

In episode one, level 3 "Toxin Refinery", there is a hidden corridor just
behind the sqaurish toxic waste pit you see just as you begin the level.
I've gotten in using no clipping, and then played through to the secret
exit that takes you to "Military Base." IS THERE A WAY TO DO THIS
WITHOUT NO CLIPPING? The map suggests there is a ramp under the toxic
waste, but I can't seem to find any switch that would make it come up.
Also, you might be familliar with a secret door in a stairway to the left
that looks down into the secret area. It opens only halfway, and again,
one needs no-clipping to get through. Any advice appreciated!

Yes there is,
If you go to the right, you have no choice without a key, there
are 2 sets of staircases after the big metal door, the one that is on the left.
When you go up the stairs, you can hear a door opening, if you run straight up and to the left, there is an elevator to help you out.

But how do you get the ramp up to cross the pit.

Go to the left wing -
Go up the long ramp between the soul sphere and the window to the right
If you run fast enough, you can make it through one of two doors in the
room at the top of the ramp. The room at the back right has a circular
acid pool in it - jump in the pool, go through the drain and you'll find a
little shelter that has a switch - this switch should toggle the ramp way
back in the main foyer. That help?

There's another "half" doorway that's triggered when you open the
doorway (half) which leads to the supercharge (blue face orb).. you have
to RUN to get there.. it leads to a "peninsula" where you find a rocket
launcher.. if you jump into the acid, you'll find a switch which will open
the pathway. Good luck!

I am able to go through the door on the right ( as you enter the room
) in the drain. But, the door on the left and another door in the
switch room are too low for me to enter. I only hit my head on the
opening and am unable to enter. Anyone have any suggestions that do
not include "cheating" switches. Thanks.

As far as I remember, you run to get to this part, and if you follow the river of slime
round then you find a little hidden room with a switch, which will raise the ramp to
get to the secret level...

About approximately 48 doom-inches to the right of the switch, while
still on the platform, there is a secret door. Just <space> it open
and you'll find more goodies and the way out. The door, on my PCs,
is just a little lighter in color then the other parts of the wall.

So, how is this suggestion not like a cheating switch?

I found the door and the secret stuff, but as you look at the map
there are two doors that I cannot get through. Both are in the drain.

As for the "cheating switches," I did not want to use some switch
that will allow me to walk through walls or something to get through
these two doors.

There is nothing there. Use the iddt cheat switch (it isn't really
cheating... yeah right!) and you will see that both small hallways
end. They are there just to annoy you, and it seemed that it worked!
There is no way to get in there, so just go on with the game!
