Hmm, I recall that it took you guys 3 months to do an engine upgrade and reinsert the maps and stuff (well, make that 4 months for a complete version (GRIN)). Considering that DOOM commerical is being released in June/July, that gives you guys 4-5 months to do something with the engine. Since modem play and network play is presumeable complete (with people around here adding stuff like internet play, BBS play, etc, etc, and you could always patch it on with only a little trouble), I am wondering if that means that you are focing on the graphical part of the game. Things like morphing walls, shrinking walls, et centra, that you have been bragging about but took out due to speed consideration. Are you guys looking at this? Or are you making what is probably going to be like DOOM II: The Commerical Version, with a completly rewritten engine for faster play and extra stuff? Oh yeah, how can I go around asking for spec informations to the registered version of DOOM? I ordered a copy (by mean of my RICH friend with a seemly unlimited credit balance (GRIN)), and will be getting the box from him within 2-3 days (hopefully, he just bring up excuses... but why? He also bought another copy for himself!), and I would love to start learning how to break up the program. Anyone willing to help me on this one? I have bunch of ideas to do and it just so happens that I don't know anyone who know how to insert the idea into reality. -Zelpheri *** This SIG is currently under construction.
