DOOM saved game editor for 1.1?

Hi,
I've played around with the saved game files of DOOM 1.1 because
DOOMED and DOOMEDIT work only with 1.0, but I haven't found everything
yet. I can't get the health level up properly (I can set it in the
display, but I die after loosing 100%, even if I set it to 500%). I
figured it out in one savegame, by setting the value to say 700% at two
places in the file, it works, but the address of the second value to
set isn't the same in an other saved game. I have the address of ammo,
max ammo, weapons, keys, displayed health and armour, but not of max(?)
health and armour.
This is what I figured out so far: If I save the game with 100% health
and 0% armour, go change the values of the displayed health and armour, and
go back and load the game, the displayed health and armour are what I
changed them too, but I die as soon as I go below by 100% or more (for
example if I set it to 300%, I will die as soon as health displayed is
at 200% or less). Also, since the saved game had 0% armour, even if I
change it to display 200% armour, it will stay at that value even if I
fire a rocket on a wall next to me.

Anyone play with the 1.1 save games?

Please e-mail of follow-up to c.s.i.p.g.a as I do not have access to alt*
groups.
