I don't know if this has been posted before, but I found a room using SPISPOPD on the last level of episode 1 in the shareware release. It's all the way at the top of the map and just off-center. I'd say it's about 3 or 4 steps through the wall. The thing is, there are a bunch of those demons in there, but even after I killed all of those, I was still getting injured by something. I didn't know what it was, so I just assumed that the room was poisoned or something. This is probably one of those storage rooms for enemies, but I just don't know why I was getting hurt for just walking through it. I couldn't stay in there for more than 10 seconds without dying. Also, the thing went right through my god mode. I had all the armor and radiation suits, god mode, and I was still getting injured. explain?

Ok, remember the last time you won that level? You end up in a room that's all black with tons of guys in it, all attacking you at once from all sides. And you invariably die after a few seconds, no matter how hard you try. Well, when you stepped on that little pentagram on the platform at the top of the stairs, that's where you teleported. The only way to get in there without teleporting in is to turn off clipping. I guess the reason you die within a few seconds is that the room is evil or something, kind of like the blue circle areas in the later episodes. I'm assuming that it's id's way of guaranteeing that anybody finishing the level is _dead_ so they can do the episode ending. -==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==- Scott Bilas <sco...@iastate.edu>|"Bomb, this is Lieutenant Doolittle! Remember at the end of level 8 when you go up the stairs and get teleported into a room with a lot of bad guys that kill you and then the game ends? That is the room you found using SPISPOPD. The reason your health goes down is so you will die and see the little message to buy the complete game. ID wants you to die so they can sell more games. Try using IDBEHOLD -V if you want to live for a little while.

This is the room you are teleported to when you step on the teleporter at
the top of the stairs you bring up by pushing the button at the bottom.
The room "assists" the monsters inside in killing you so that you die and
so that the game can continue (second episode floats above hell, episode
three _is_ hell). This is done so just in case you actually kill all the
monsters you'll still die. The monsters, too, go right through god mode,
and you continue to drop dead even if you SPISPOPD out of the room!
Keep typing IDDQD and you'll stay alive, but that's the only way and there's
nothing to gain by doing it.
Like Freddy Kruger said, "C'mon... let go!" "I'll see you in hell..." "Tell
'em Freddy sentcha!"
The only way (according to the story anyway) to go to episode 2 is to die.
Cool, huh?
