It originally recommended 800x600 high quality for my 256 MB FX 5700LE,
but that only timedemo'd around 15 fps with older 56.56 or 56.72 drivers
(16 fps with video card overclocked), although, it was usually 20-30 fps
in actual game play. Medium quality did not help much (0.5 fps).
Enabling 256MB image cache gave me another 1 fps.

Then something I did suddenly bumped 800x600 high up to 26 fps and 30-40
fps gameplay. So I am now able to get 20 fps high quality timedemo for
1024x768 no AA or 800x600 2x AA (which I am using now), which is 30-40 fps
most of the time.

Not sure what I did to speed it up, unless change to nVidia 61.76 driver
is more optimized for Doom3 (3DMark03 is actually slightly slower than
older drivers). The only tweak I have is the image cache, and that did
not correspond to the major speed up.

But I would like to try the 1280x1024 native resolution of my 19" TFT
display, so I may use eVGA's step-up program to trade for 6800.
