I am currently at 'decision' time and was in fact thinking of playing the game on two different save streams, (one with sending and one with canceling), merely because I have saved at that point and noticed that each selection elicited a different response from Elliot and/or Kelly. I agree with you though that ID missed a great opportunity to add a more interesting RPG element to the game. As it is your character can start killing people for the their PDA's even before the disaster. One might suggest that it makes the game easier for you to be a jerk from the start in that respect but there is consequence positive or negative result for such behaviour. Possibly the underlying premise of the FPS in the eyes of ID is simply that killing anything you can is a good idea and at no point should moral or ethics enter into it, (yeah I know it is just a game but games can be clever too). Yet given the introduction where UAC is defined as all powerful and not constrained by either moral or ethical restrictions it does make for an interesting argument that it is the UAC philosophy that unleashes this evil and as such one would expect that it would take a force that ultimately rejects that philosophy to in turn restrain the evil? Anyway thanks again for resolving my question so I won't waste a lot of time playing the game twice from this point for no real end game purpose.
