Anyone who doesn't agree with you just shows they don't agree with you,
not that they are either geniuses or retards :-) All opinions are
subjective-
yep, including yours.

But aside from your rather entertaining statement there, there will be no
way
to compare how 'great' Doom 3 is in comparison to HL2, until both of them
are out and have been played for a while. I'm sure they will both be great
games with their own individual strengths and weaknesses, as always.

I wonder what would happen to odd threads such as this one, if reason were
to accidentally take hold, and people were to suddenly realise: "Wow, these
are both wonderful and awesome games, made by two different but equally
inventive companies, and despite different preferences by different gamers,
we all have to admit they are both just great games"???

Nah, I'm sure there'll still be plenty of threads consisting of "HL2 sux,
Doom3
roxors", and vice-versa. Reason? Restraint? Courtesy to opinions of others??
Bleh! What a silly idea, on usenet. Sorry, don't know what came over me ;-P
