While playing Doom, I noticed that the sound effects on my SB Pro changed in pitch frequently.. For example, when I hear a certain death cry from a former human, it is sometimes a bit slower (resulting in a lower voice), and sometimes slightly faster (higher voice). It's as if the sampling of the sound effects vacillate.... I'm not complaining, it adds a little variety to the sound, but is this normal (i.e. done intentionally)? It seems like it was intentional to me, because every other program that I have works fine with my soundcard. Or is it a bug? Has anyone else experienced this? To see if it works on your soundcard try this: press escape quickly a couple of times during the game and listen to the series of sounds that results.... -Tim
