I was overjoyed when I watched DOOM being played on another machine with a sounblaster pro but was greatly disheartened when I took it home and discovered that only the music works for an adlib sound board. I realize serious gamers would scoff at an adlib and simply have no sympathy but is there anything I can do besides shell out the big dough for a new board just so I can enjoy DOOM in its full splendour? Half of the fun of DOOM is the hilarious sound effects. Why make it adlib music compatible and not sound? Please, any suggestions, ideas, comments?
