Mitigated somewhat by the shortcuts, but it still would be nice to be able
to save LAN or modem games.

I'd say 99% of the games keep you from really dying through restoring
saves.

Any online game will have this to an extent.

Personally, I thoroughly enjoy the hack and slash. It doesn't seem that
much different from most RPGs either. Combat is usually click-based in
those games as well.

Yeah, this would be nice. I'm not sure the CD access is the problem as much
as the game generating levels when you go to a new area.

Mitigated by the $10 CDs.

How many do most RPGs have? I think there's a nice variety in Diablo,
although I'd be happy with more, of course.

It's magic that only affects the person wearing the items, just as
infravision only affects the person casting the spell.

It's not really all that hard.

Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't have difficulty settings here.

More would have been cool, of course, but that wasn't in the scope of the
game. It's been pretty clear from all the pre-release hype that this game
took place in a single dungeon.

I'm sure that many people will tire of Diablo and many will keep enjoying
it for some time to come. I think it has pretty good replay value if you
enjoy the dungeon crawling, and I do.
