When you go to sleep at night, the world does not stop! Just because you
wish to leave the game, the other players may wish to continue. If the
status ofthe game is saved when you leave. When you come back to the game,
would you expect the progress of all the other players in the game to be
erased? I agree that would be a good idea for a direct connection game. A
better solution might be to save the status of the game when the LAST
player leaves the game. Of course all the players would have to agree to
who will be the last player to leave the game and decide when to resume.

My 2 cents (although considering inflation and the value of the dollar,
they aren't worth that!).
