My act 2 mercs do okay usually, they have problems around Meph, and if they
get distracted by one of Baal's PI minions it usually kills em though(I
don't bother worring about their life bulb, I just let em live as long as
they can then so be it)

Aye, it helps. Sure, your zeals may not hit the main baddie much, but you'll
be hitting the minions around him plenty of times, which means many chances
to trigger.

Switched to fana while fightning Meph or after he was dead? If while alive,
then yeah, your res woulda been in the red pretty harshly, which would
explain the 1 hit KOs.

Aye, more res charms are good, can fight meph with Fana on and still be
maxed out.
