I had mild pain with my index finger (too much mouse button clicking). I moved to a Kensington Trackball. Seems much better. Being able to click with the thumb helps a lot. It has four buttons that you can program in very great detail using their software drivers. Also doing a chord with the 2 bottom buttons at the same time is like another 5th button. BE WARNED, the Kensington driver is a problem in some DirectX games. It works fine in Diablo but Emporer of the Fading Suns would completely hang my system. An easy work around is to just switch to a standard mouse driver and reboot. This completely solved the DirectX conflict problem but switching drivers is a pain. The very best wrist rests I have found are made by Case Logic my CompUSA had them. They are pretty cheap and have 2 liquid gel filled tubes inside along their lenth. At first they didn't provide enough support, some rubber bands fixed that problem easy enough. Hope this helps, Nathan
