This happened to me by mistake - my ISP disconnected in the middle of the game!! I was
in hell going for Diablo!!! Does this mean that I can cancel my connection and still
play the game?

I got a connection after about 5 min of trying (busy signals) and then noticed that the
game had continued to play and I was lying dead on the floor. Luckily I had read
somewhere that if you restart in town you have a chance to get your stuff back. I tried
it and it worked! I thought this was a freak occurrence - if it is not then I would
like to be able to disconnect (my provider is not happy about the number of hours I am
online) :)

Thanks,
