Using the hex table go down to the line 8c. It should be zeroed : out. Now here's the trick type in 00 07 00 ?? : Where ?? can be the following: : ??=80 Guard mode : ??=81 unknown maybe standard aggressive : ??=83 run away/lay bombs/open doors--very cool! : ??=85 very aggressive or wait/pounce : There u go! : Now if someone can figure out what is needed to make the custom levels : work with 2 two player mode please let me know. From what I gather (thanks : to an expert's input) you need 8 start things and 3 coop things plus : reactor thing in a level to keep it from crashing. Unfortunately Devil has : a major flaw here. The coop thing does not work for me. Every time I try : to insert a coop I crash :( : Some please let me know if it's possibel to insert a co-op thing using : Devil. I hope the author of devil reads this and fixes it. BTW Devil is : AWESOME even with the mentioned bugs I got a level working, I don't know if this works in general but... When you start a new level, it gives you a standard start point. Leave this alone. All new start points should be numbered 01, 02, 03 etc... Now go to Drawings, Data to get the hex dump. For every start point except the first, change the "05 01" on the first line to "00 01", if this has not been done by DEVIL already. After the end of the green stuff, at the start of the unknown data, add the following to all new start points: 35 bc 04 00 00 00 64 00 Then at offset 004c, put FF. At offset 0068, put 00 04 00 72. At offset 006C, put 08. At offset 008C, put 00 0B 00 2B. And the last four bytes should all be ff's. I don't know why this works, whether it always works, or whether some of what I've listed is unnecessary. I have successfully played a custom level in modem deathmatch with this technique, however. -- Darren Lo (Inferno on irc)
