My favorite level so far in reg. Descent is level 10. There's some *big* rooms in that level!! Lots of space to fly around. I'm glad that there is no blood and guts in Descent...this game is too good to need such gory effects to help it out, unlike Doom--a boring flat monotonous waste of time. Descent rules!! I got my reg. Descent and then my system crashed. I set it up again and messed up the memory settings, and that made my sounds wierd. The robots all made the same sound, there was no countdown to self-destruct (Why is it called self-destruct when I blow up the reactor and *that* blows up the mine?), the iris-type doors didn't make their neat clicking sound, and the "Cheater" (cheating is fun sometimes...) thing didn't work. I set up my memory correctly (using MemMaker) and it worked fine. This might help someone else... My least favorite robot is still the Vulcan guy, but the little proximity bomb things are really irritating. They run around so fast that they're hard to kill. I was happy when I got into the higher levels and red mechs and Vulcan 'bots started to thin out a bit. I'm up to level 20, and I've found 2 secret levels so far. I can't remember exactly where they are, but eventually I'll post them here for everybody to see. You know you've been playing too much Descent when the cinnamon shaker on a Cinnamon Toast Crunch box freaks you out because you think it's a Vulcan guy! (I was kind of tired...)
