I have a 1.3 GHz Athlon PC with a Radeon 9200 128 Mb video card, when playing Command and Conquer the mouse pointer blinks and disappears from the screen.

The problem is the hardware mouse malfunctioning. Either update your drivers, update DirectX, or disable mouse pointer acceleration. To disable mouse pointer acceleration: Control pannel->display->settings->advanced->troubleshoot->set slider to 1 point left of "Full" - should say "Disable cursor and bitmap accelerations." This will not significantly impact your performance in any game. -- - Tim G.
