The problem is the hardware mouse malfunctioning. Either update your drivers, update DirectX, or disable mouse pointer acceleration. To disable mouse pointer acceleration: Control pannel->display->settings->advanced->troubleshoot->set slider to 1 point left of "Full" - should say "Disable cursor and bitmap accelerations." This will not significantly impact your performance in any game. -- - Tim G.
