It is just like Yuri's Revenge and Red Alert 2. There are several different Solo missions (Including Skirmish) and you get Network (L.A.N) and Online modes =D

Thanks for the help. Pete

C&C:Tiberian Dawn, C&C:Red Alert, C&C:Tiberian Sun, C&C:Red Alert 2 all come with 2 game CDs for sharing between players. C&C:Counterstrike, C&C:Aftermath, C&C:Firestorm, C&C:Yuri's Revenge, C&C:Renegade, and C&C:Generals all only come with one gameplay CD. Players must each purchase their own copy of the game. -- Tim "HeXetic" G. www.planetcnc.com

Looks like I'll have to save a bit more - if I got one copy and the missus couldn't join in, there'd be big trouble! Regards Pete

Most of the EA-haters (people who think C&C is all downhill since EA bought out Westwood studios) see it as a money-grabbing policy. On the other hand, the game itself takes up two CDs so presumably to bundle two playable versions they would need to bundle 4 CDs or package 3 CDs with one CD an "install" CD and the other two "play" CDs - a complicated and probably expensive setup. I guess Generals also doesn't obey the traditional idiom of there only being two sides and hence, two CDs. Nor does it have full-motion video briefings, which are so big as to necessitate one CD for each side. -- Tim "HeXetic" G. www.planetcnc.com

I think that Starcraft had an excellent feature. The game was all on one cd but you could make a "spawn installation" on any other computer if you wanted to meet them. So, with the spawn installation, you could only join a hosted game on a LAN. Nice idea I think... /Nisse "HeXetic" <hexemail@hottic.com> wrote in message news:t0c3b.11318$Cg2.866718@news20.bellglobal.com... > "Peter Connolly" <pete_c@myrealbox.com> wrote in message > news:MPG.19b748193bf2dea5989680@news.individual.net... > > In article <ya73b.10377$Cg2.803825@news20.bellglobal.com>, > > hexemail@hottic.com says... > > > > Hi Tim > > > > Thanks for the reply, I was hoping that C&C:Generals would be a 2 > > gameplay edition. if you want to play generals on 2 or more PC's all you need to do it get more than one CD code from other people and use that when installing the game, also you need to find the latest no CD patch for the game to actually work as you cant copy the game onto another CD!!
