Use your more powerful armored units, like your Titans, and not infantry.

The games went as follows: Command & Conquer (sometimes called "Tiberian Dawn") Command & Conquer: The Covert Operations (expansion disk for C&C; new missions) Command & Conquer 95 (also called "Command & Conquer Gold", a Windows-95 version that added Internet play) Command & Conquer: Sole Survivor (multiplayer-only game played online, you play as a single C&C unit and do deathmatch or team games such as capture the flag or football) Command & Conquer: Red Alert Command & Conquer: Red Alert The Counterstrike (add-on: 7 new missions and new multiplayer maps) Command & Conquer: Red Alert The Aftermath (add-on: 7 new misssions, new maps and units) Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun Firestorm (add-on: new missions, map types, and units) Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge (add-on: new missions, multiplayer maps, and units) Command & Conquer: Renegade (first-person-shooter set in Tiberian Dawn-era C&C universe) Command & Conquer: Generals (full-3D strategy game; no plot connections with other C&C games) I think that's all of them. My hand hurts now, lol. -- Tim "HeXetic" G. www.planetcnc.com "Alex Sv" <morex...@uni.de> wrote in message news:Mc4%a.5742$zN5.151876@news1.tin.it... > Douglas A. My hand hurts now, lol. And you almost got them in the right order too. ;-} (After all, he did ask for them in order of publication). Red Alert was certainly published before the Win95 version of C&C and I have a feeling that the two add-ons were as well. I can't remember when Sole Survivor came out (I never played it) but it was certainly later than RA. BTW - there were also more than 7 new missions on both Counterstrike (no "The") and The Aftermath. In fact Counterstrike had 16 missions (not counting the Ants campaign) and The Aftermath had 18. -- Cheers, Chas. "Reality leaves a lot to the imagination".

I don't think my order is wrong in the way you suggest. My C&C95 box reveals that it is (c) 1995, whereas my C&C:RA box says it's 1996. The Counterstrike says 1997, and so does Aftermath. As for Sole Survivor, I have no idea when exactly it came out, though it certainly should be lower on the list as I have a magazine that previews it in 1997. It probably came out after The Aftermath but before Tiberian Sun. As for the missions number, I don't know where I dug up the number 7. It says right on my CD jewel cases that CS has 16 new missions and Aftermath has 18. You're right that Counterstrike doesn't have a "the", looking at the jewel case also shows that Aftermath DOES have a "the". Beats me why one gets a determinant and the other doesn't. -- Tim "HeXetic" G. www.planetcnc.com > And you almost got them in the right order too. ;-} > > (After all, he did ask for them in order of publication). > > Red Alert was certainly published before the Win95 version of C&C and I > have a feeling that the two add-ons were as well. True - but the (c)1995 refers to the release date of the original (DOS) version of C&C (because that's when the copyright was filed). The reason I'm so confident about the order of release is that I bought all of the Westwood RTS games & add-ons as soon as they were available (until TS diminished my enthusiasm). For the record, I've just checked my Win95 version disks and "published 1998" is printed on the labels. -- Cheers, Chas. "Reality leaves a lot to the imagination".

Point taken. Guess it really does not matter which you play first. All-in-all, my apologies for top posting. Been on newsgroups for 5 or so years and never had to worry about where the post was. One year I wake-up and it is a big fucking deal if you top post. Ah well, newsgroups are still fun...especially binary groups. :) Question...what posting application do you use where it does the "...after serious contemplation..." stuff? Ceyko

I guess you're right. I saw the 1998 on my box but as it's the "value" edition "gold trim" box (i.e. not the original, but the bargain bin republished version), I thought that the 1998 referred to the date of that publication of C&C95 rather than C&C95 itself. -- Tim "HeXetic" G. www.planetcnc.com > True - but the (c)1995 refers to the release date of the original (DOS) > version of C&C (because that's when the copyright was filed). But I'm sure you find my short, trimmed, top-posts easier to read than TCPolina's untrimmed bottom-posts that take 2 years to scroll down to. I believe the conclusion I reached after that discussion was that for really short, snappy, answers that are (usually) only about the immediately previous post I'm just going to top-post and trim. When the discussion gets complicated (not likely on a game-oriented group), I'll bottom post. The XXX missions require you to have Covert Ops, but then prompts for different discs when you start up. to access: do you have DOS or GOLD? if GOLD, goto your "Start" then "Run" and put in the following: c:\westwood\c&c95\c&c95 funpark (be sure to space between C&C95 and funpark. Also, be sure your path is c:westwood\c&c95)then hit OK. if this is saved here you can re-launch it again at a later date and thanks to Bennett (Dion@homesix.globalnet.co.uk) for his input on DOS: For dos, you go to your dos prompt, get into your c&c directory and type:c&c funpark. Same as with gold, just without the 95 and you will need redo this too if you want to go back to a saved level of XXXXX since just opening a saved XXXX level does not work (well, you can finish that level, but you will not go to the next XXXXX level)...one odd thing in the redo: you need to start level one, then pause it ,and then open your saved game... -- Fight Win Prevail But Never Cheat

You also must have the Counterstrike add-on for Red Alert. If you don't, don't waste your time reading the rest of this page. Simply start Red Alert as you normally would. At the title page -- the one shown above -- hold down the left shift key and left-click on the speaker circled in yellow in the upper right-hand corner.
