Every time I play with a friend he does the same thing - Build tanks.
He usually plays GDI. What is the best defense against HUGE tank
assaults?

Use massed recon bikes to take out his harvesters.
No credits = no tanks
Start the game with a relatively low amount of credits.
5000 or less.
Good hunting.

It's been my observation that NODdies can do nothing about a 'huge'
Mammoth Tank group. Huge being anywhere from 5-10.

The only thing to do, is limit the tiberium that the other harvests.
Or try to destroy his Construction yard/Weapons Factory before
a huge mass can be assembled.

Also, a large group of Bazzooka men might make it interesting, but
Mammoth tanks have the missles also, that does a fair job
against people.

Those Mammoth Tanks are so damn slow, its pretty funny when you have a
mass and just march it into the opponents city. Really, nothing
they can do but hope their obelisks and recon bikes can take out a few
before the contruction yard goes BOOM!

Rob

PS Remember, for each Mammoth tank an opponent builds, you can build
an obelisk and a recon bike, or 3 recon bikes. A mass attack of bikes
will damage a group of Mammoth tanks, but I still think Mammoths tank
will win, with the ratio of 1 tank to 3 recon bikes.

Orcas or attack choppers(nod). This is the best way to take out tanks.
If he has air defense accompanying his tanks (rocket launchers) target
those first.

Also, you might want to wall off all but a small section to your base.
Don't necessarily deploy your CY right where you start. Take the time to
search out a good, defensible spot.

How about a flame tank retaliation? They've got enough armor to hang on for a
while. That, along with some obelisks, should weaken his HUGE assults to
manageable ones... maybe?! :) Good luck...
