The ability to ally with the computer should be left in, IMHO. I
play RA quite often over a LAN in 3 and 4-player games and we've been
experimenting with new game types, such as human-computer/human-human and
human-computer/human-computer, etc. In such cases allying with the
computer is a fundamental part of our games; it adds some measure of spice
and variety. We've also taken to playing 8-way free-for-alls with 4 humans
and 4 computers, modifying the rules.ini so that the comps don't ally with
each other. I don't see why Westwood would punish us to please the
weak-willed who can't refrain from cheating.
