Take for example Grand Prix 2, my favorite game of all. It's great original, straight out of the box, but being able to change the cars, the drivers, advertising boards and everything else in the game makes it better and more fun. I can't compare C&C to Red Alert since I've never played C&C, but I like RA. I used to play Warcraft 2 before and I do miss some aspects of WC2 like being able to build things further then two squares drom the base. That's an extreme piss off, cause putting camo-pillboxes out near forests would be so amazing and being able to install turrets away from the base, like maybe near a bridge would hurt tank rushers.
