It sounds as though you don't have that hard of a time invading the base. (You must use your arty's to take out the guard towers by shooting across the river) Once you have the structures captrued, immediately build a wall south toward the river. Place two turrets along the river side, and you won't have to worry about the gun boat anymore. The turrets will take it out in 2 or 3 passes (it never returns). By now, you may be getting hit by a fluster of gdi forces, most notably, a mammoth tank. I had to set up an obelisk to save my base.. but it was well worth it. After you have taken out the initial gdi forces, you don't have to worry much--gdi only attacks a few at a time. The GDI base is in the upper right corner of the map--so stay clear when harvesting from the eastern tiberium field. Although its a little awkard, i suggest building a wall out of your base all the way to the tiberium field, so you can section off a few places where gdi may appear. (you can sell the parts of the wall you don't need) If you are having trouble with that napalm plane, place one minigunner at the northernmost part of the screen. By default, the plane always attacks the northernmost unit.
