I've said it before and still think it's true, C&C was a new challenge to Westwood. They didnt have the copyright holders of Dune looking over thier shoulders this time thus the design/creation of the game was completely in their hands. I look at C&C as a 'test the waters' product, get some feedback and then release C&C:Red Alert and C&C2 as a more refined game. I like C&C in its current form, but i'm also glad to hear what they have planned for future C&C products. Want some unofficial info on Red Alert? check out http://www.wolfenet.com/~kerhop/cc-ladd.html For a game like this, I dont care if its SVGA or not, the game runs faster when it has less graphics to update thus improving the response/gameplay. As for Kali, my discussions with the WS-Tech's in WChat have confirmed they have some sorta 'delayed-propoganda' or whatever in the network code of Red Alert and C&C2 to improve network/kali games.
