As another point to make, if MS hadn't come along to start this war, would Netscape's browser have ever changed? As an almost literal monopoly with the only browser worth getting, they could have easily gotten complacent about making it better (just look at the interface alone from 2.0 to 3.0). Why should they? People want to surf the Web, gotta use theirs. Well, competition spurs innovation and all Netscape fans can thank MS for keeping Netscape on their toes. Brent Giosta <bGi...@ix.netcom.com> wrote in article <01bbf90e$ad070f40$LocalHost@brent-s-beer>... <snippies> : If MSIE isn't halfway decent, what does this make Netscape? Almost every : magazine rates MSIE3 higher than Netscape. : : MSIE is also adding features faster than NEtscape. AS far as Netscapes : interface goes, it hasn't changed a bit since 1.2 or earlier. (At least : until 4.0 finally came out). : : It's just a matter of personal preference -- nothing worth arguing about, : Download both and keep the one you like. : :
