Thats a good point-- If you've played long enough to get hit by an ion
cannon, you probably know where your opponent's coming from. Place your
sam sits in rows.. like this:
CY
SAM
SAM
SAM
ENEMY
Of course, your opponent may trick you buy moving his orcas to another
spot and attacking from another direction. (Thats what I usually do)
Here's my advice in general.. You're waiting WAY too long. My opinion is
that GDI is a better force if allowed to build up. NOD is great for
hit-and-run missions. You have to hit him where it hurts throughout the
game: attack his harvesters with teams of 5 or so recon bikes. Think
about it this way: Each orca and pad costs $1500. Each orca costs $1200.
Focus on taking out just one of those and you've set your opponent way
back. Especially if he's lost harvesters (which are $1400).
You(NOD) can build attack choppers too. You may want to use these
(maybe 2 at a time) to attack his orcas. Even if he moves his orcas,
your choppers will follow keep following and firing.
