Ok, anyone out there that thinks there is *more* strategy in Red Alert than in Warcraft 2, bring it on... Gee, let's see, I'll take the ... uh, Soviets and tank rush your shit - oh boy, I won, cool, that really took a lot of thought. A person shouldn't *have* to edit a .INI file and *change the game* to make it worth playing... Do you know how to stop someone from taking peons in Warcraft 2 that are made invisible and flame shielded from destroying all your shit, you paid 10 more to build? What do you do when someone takes a pack of Mages and starts a blizzard on your camp, and then uses a chain of invisible spells so that you can't even kill the little bastard? Oh, and when someone starts using guerrilla warfare with mages and the polymorph spell...fun. And of course, there's the matter of having to drill for oil, which is a *strategic* feature that you have to think about if you plan on building a navy, which you don't have comparable in Red Alert. I guess if you think Warcraft 2 is dull in multiplayer mode, you just haven't figured out how to play it yet...I'm sure I could kick your ass in a few minutes. I would argue that multiplayer mode in Warcraft 2 is more *strategic* than Red Alert. It's the single player missions that are superior for Red Alert. Oh, and you can actually save a multiplayer game in Warcraft 2... that's 2.99 strikes against Westwood right there! - T.T.
