Warcraft II.... geez.... I saw so many people playing it online, I
figured it must be really good. So I bought it, I gave it a chance, I
could never get into it. The units are so stupid, and the gameplay is
downright boring. I guess it appeals to a set of players who want
their strategy watered down and in the form of oafs who say "yes
milord" and other cutesy sayings. WarII is visually appealing, but
that's about the only thing its got going for it over RA. RA has more
variety in units, missions, and tactics, which makes for long lasting
gameplay value.
Yes, RA takes a while to load, and sometimes has strange stutters, but
those issues are minor when you're talking about a classic strategy
game like RA.

F Warcraft!

!>Sorry, but tell me why when I play Warcraft2 after a game of Red
Alert I
!>feel like playing Wolfenstein 3D after a game of Duke 3D?
!>
!>War2 is a very popular game but and because it is very simple. War2
is very
!>much in limited in a matter of tactics and number of units you can
build on
!>a map. I have played many games of War2 and they were all looking
very much
!>like the other games of War2 I played before, which never happens
when I
!>play Red Alert.
!>
!>Tell me why a game between 2 players is as much interesting than a
game
!>between 6 players in War2?
!>
!>The only advantage of War2 over RA are the shortcuts for producing
units
!>and buildings, but the shortcuts that C&C and RA offer are far more
useful
!>than the ones in War2.
!>
!>Oh, by the way, you say that Blizzard makes better games than
Westwood...
!>Did not Blizzard make the dullest and least interesting game in the
World,
!>Diablo? I am going to sell it after a very few games.
!>
!>You say that RA runs slow on you PC. You sure have a 486. Every
games
!>programmed under Direct X will run poorly on your 486, including
Diablo and
!>every future games from Blizzard, including Starcraft, of course.
!>
!>Now this last test: take a unit and send it from one corner to the
opposite
!>one. What will happen? In C&C and RA, the unit will make its way (if
not
!>killed, of course) to its destination. In War2, you will find the
unit
!>stupidly staring at a tree in the middle of the map. So... Tell us
again
!>what game is superior?
