That's quite a sweeping generalization you've made: "Only the newer gamers
and the people who enjoy cheating or crack the code would like it."
Actually, I've exchanged messages with many veteran gamers who have been
playing it for 3 months now and who still enjoy it. There are a lot of
subtleties to it that people who play it for a week or two and set it aside
never see. Plus, multiplayer games are a lot of fun.

Personally, there are some popular games that I don't play. Quake, for
example, just doesn't interest me. Mechwarrior does. Both are first-person,
3D rendered games, and are probably more alike than dissimilar. I also like
HOMM2, MOO, X-COM, and others. I find it hard to get all the way to the end
of a game of Civ 2, however, because tedium sets in around the year 1800.

The point I'm trying to make is that most gamers enjoy several types of
games and several levels of complexity in the games they play. The crusty
grognard may very well enjoy Dukematches, for example. Don't be so hasty to
put down a game.
