Apaches take them out far too easy, and most importantly, apaches can be repaired, bazookas can't. This gives a major advantage ($$$) to the apaches. But to my point: Apaches are more effective against harvesters than orcas. To take out a harvester standing still, you need 5 orcas or 3 apaches if I'm not mistaken. If the harvester is moving, it's the apaches' gain. Orcas have a tougher time aiming, IMO, and apaches don't miss much of their shots. When orcas, which hold only 6 rockets, miss, they just wasted 16% of their firepower. And before you have reloaded (and maybe repaired) your orcas and return to finish your job, the harvester is usually also repaired or moved to areas with greater anti-air defense. Of course, orcas fire a lot faster against non-moving targets such as Sams. So 6 orcas can take out a Sam fast as hell, Apaches use longer time, allowing the enemy to get some good shots at them. Since Apaches don't inflict their damage so fast, the repair-option is more powerful. bottom line: Apaches, despite using machineguns, are better for killing the heavily armored harvesters than the rocketshooting orcas.. some thoughts about running chopper-offense: One common problem is that your enemy usually only shoot at one of your choppers, and in order not to loose it, you send the whole group back when this one chopper is almost dead. Now, if you're really looking to kick some major ass with your choppers, make each one of them a group.. And when one of your choppers is almost dead, you select it (and only it) and return it for repairs. repeat untill target is dead, you're out of 'healthy' choppers or you're out of ammo. This way, the rest of your choppers can continue doing damage, without you loosing expensive units.. I haven't tried this myself yet, but it won't be long.. regards, --- Christian Figenschou - chri...@login.eunet.no http://login.eunet.no/~christfi - Michael Jordan is GOD! GO BULLS! ---
